Ron's bio photo

Ron McCrary was the senior rector of Christ Church in Overland Park, KS, for 21 years prior to joining the Anglican Initiative. Under his leadership, Christ Church grew to over 1,000. Born and raised in St. Louis, Ron is a graduate of Washington University (BA), the University of Texas (MA), and the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest (M.Div.). He also completed graduate work at Fuller Seminary. Ron's passion invest in developing the next generation of Anglican church planters and to add muscle to the Anglican Mission's vision to reach 130 million unchurched Americans through church planting led him to become the Executive Director of the Anglican Initiative. Ron and his wife Ann live in Richardson, TX, and are members of Christ Church, where Ron maintains an office. They have three children and four grandchildren. A former symphony violinist, Ron relaxes by playing the violin, riding horses, and eating chocolate.

  Nancy Scammacca-bio photo

Nancy Scammacca works to implement the vision of the Anglican Initiative by developing strategies, creating systems and processes, and overseeing the daily operations of the Initiative. Her passion is to see local churches become effective environments for multiplying disciples, leaders, and churches in fulfillment of the Great Commission. Nancy is a graduate of Northwestern University (BA), Wheaton College (MA), and The University of Texas (MA, PhD). In addition to her role in the Anglican Initiative, she is the pastor of discipleship at MESA, where she was ordained to the diaconate in 2007.

The Board of Directors for the Anglican Initiative for Mission sets the tone and direction for the church planting movement.

 Matthew Kessler--bio photo

Matt Kessler is the lead pastor of MESA Community Church in Austin, Texas. One of the first churches in the Anglican Mission, MESA is a Spirit-filled, liturgical, Bible church passionate about connecting people with God and one another. Matt's involvement with the Anglican Initiative grows out of his desire to raise up leaders who will plant healthy, growing churches that will plant more healthy, growing churches. Matt is a graduate of the University of Texas, and received a Master of Divinity from Virginia Seminary and Wycliffe Hall. He was ordained as a priest in 1997. Matt and his wife Amanda have two children, Benjamin (b.2004) and Susanna (b.2008).

 Clark Lowenfield-bio photo

Clark Lowenfield is a fifth generation Texan who has served congregations diverse as small missions on a three hundred mile circuit in West Texas, a historic congregation in Charleston, SC., and a rapidly growing congregation in a suburb of Houston. Having consulted dozens of churches through his leadership development practice, Encourage Ministries, he also established the original credentialing office for the Anglican Mission. Clark now serves as Lead Pastor of HopePointe Church in The Woodlands, where he desires to be the remainder of his life. His wife Tricia and three daughters are the loves of his life. He is a graduate of Amherst College and the University of the South School of Theology.

 David Roseberry-bio photo

David H. Roseberry is the founding rector and senior pastor of Christ Church in Plano, Texas. He arrived there in 1985 with the vision of planting a new Episcopal church for the growing community. The new church was built on the principles of lay ministry, evangelistic preaching, and small group ministry. Christ Church Plano is the most attended Anglican church in the United States. David is a graduate of the University of Arizona, and received his Master of Divinity degree from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in 1982. He has been an ordained priest since 1983. David and his wife, Fran, have six children (including two children-in-law) and one granddaughter, and two grandsons.

Archbishop Yong--web bio

The Rt. Rev. Datuk Yong Ping Chung was born in Tarakan, Indonesia in a non-Christian traditional Chinese family. While in Secondary school, he was introduced to the Lord Jesus by an Australia missionary and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior. He received his university education and theological training in Memorial University and Queen's College at St. John's Newfoundland (1964-1969). He has served Christ's Church as a Deacon (1969), Priest (1970), the fourth Bishop of Sabah (1990), and the second Primate of the Province of South East Asia (2000) until his retirement in February 2006. Archbishop Yong married Julia in 1968. They have two daughters and two grandchildren. His prayer is that every chosen servant of God for ministry will be faithful to be fruitful in ministry for the glory of the Lord (John 15:16).
   

David Young-bio photo

David Young was born and raised in Arkansas. He graduated with a degree in Business and Economics from Hendrix College in 1975 and a law degree from the University of Arkansas in 1978. David has practiced law, served as a law clerk to a United States District Judge and, since 1985, has served as a United States Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of Arkansas. David was blessed to be in the "living room group" that has grown to become St. Andrew's Church in Little Rock and was part of the First Promise movement which was instrumental in the formation of what is now known as the Anglican Mission in the Americas. He and his wife, Marilyn, have four children, two daughters-in law and one granddaughter.

 Kim Gardiner bio photo Kim Gardiner was born and raised in Texas. She graduated from Moody Bible Institute with B.A. in Bible/Theology in 1997. Since that time Kim has worked on various church staffs and in various ministry roles for over 15 years. Kim and her husband Eric live in Austin, Texas and serve on the Leadership Team of MESA Community Church. Kim provides administrative support for the Anglican Initiative, and she loves to encourage the work of the Mission as she serves church planting candidates.
